Do you love action books? Well, if you do you would love Divergent! This book will make you sit down and read all day. Veronica Roth did a great job writing this thrilling book. Keep on reading to find more reasons why you should read this book. If you like Hunger Games I’m sure you would like Divergent.

You may ask why should I read this book? Well, one reason you should read it is because of all the life lessons. One of the life lesson is being brave and having courage. Divergent contains many aspects of bravery. It includes doing dangerous things that involve bravery like  putting yourself in danger and fighting people. However, the book stresses that the most important forms of bravery are the ordinary ones. Such as the courage that drives one person to stand up for another. Another reason you may want to read Divergent is because there is so much action. Some examples of the action is when Tris (the main character) and her friends learn to throw both knifes and punches. Also, the conflict within the society allows them to put their skills to the test.

I understand that some people think  Divergent is a “copy” of Hunger Games series but the book has barely anything in common with the Hunger Games series except the action. Also, if you think that it’s a copy then I’m sure you would love Divergent because if you like Hunger Games then you would like Divergent. Some of the things that Divergent doesn’t have that  Hunger Games has is a love triangle. A lot of people hate the fact that Hunger Games has a love triangle but guess what? Divergent doesn’t have a love triangle which makes the book 100 times people for some people. Also, in Divergent you have more of a chance doing what you want to do and in Hunger Games you don’t have a lot of choices. That concludes my point of how Divergent and Hungers Games are not alike.

Now that you have reasons to read Divergent, you should. Overall, I want people to know that Divergent is a great book full of action and is nothing like Hunger Games. Just one more reminder. Go check out Divergent in your local library, school library, or even on your mobile device.

The Fault In Our Stars
I really recommended the book The Fault In Our Stars by John Green. It’s a story about a girl who is overcoming thyroid cancer. The girl is named Hazel, and her mom would really like her to get out of the house. Hazel’s mom sends her to support group, but Hazel hates it. At support group, there is a boy name Isaac, and his friend Augustus comes to the support group with Isaac. Hazel has a short hair cut and doesn't get a lot of attraction from boys, but Augustus is different. Hazel and Augustus have been friends for a while now, but Augustus got diagnosed with cancer, and he hasn't been doing so well. Augustus is my favorite character because he uses many metaphors, and he worries about living life to the fullest, and I’m the same way. I recommend this book to people who like romantic and sad stories.

A Mango Shaped Space

I highly recommend that you read A Mango Shaped Space by Wendy Mass. In this story Mia is diagnosed with synesthesia where every word and number as its own color. It's a world of colors for Mia. Everyone's synesthesia is different, and the experiences are different as well. Mia goes to many doctors before she gets diagnosed. Mia and her family have a cat named Mango that they found at the graveyard when they were visiting Mia’s grandpa. Surprisingly, they cat has the same eyes as Mia’s grandpa. But you have to read the story to find out what happens at the end.

My favorite character is Mia because she always finds good in everything. When she found out she had synesthesia, she wasn’t disappointed and depressed; she made good come out of it. One theme in the book is overcoming life's obstacle like when Jenna's mother died, Jenna overcame the fact that her mother is dead. Another theme is that we are all different from each other like Mia is different with her synesthesia. I recommend this book to someone who likes happy ending stories. This is a great, heart warming book that will remind you of all the great things you have in life.
